The world’s dressage elite will once again converge at the magnificent Stade Équestre du Grand Parc in Compiègne for the 14th edition of the Internationaux de Dressage. Boasting an outstanding programme, an unparalleled level of competition, and the sole French leg of the FEI Nations Cup, this prestigious event stands as a highlight of the international equestrian calendar.

The grand finale of this four-day spectacle will be graced by Lorenzo, the true virtuoso of equestrian artistry, who will deliver a mesmerising performance on Sunday, 4th May. Staying true to its commitment to accessibility, the event remains entirely free, offering spectators the opportunity to immerse themselves in the exhilarating world of elite dressage.

A diverse and prestigious programme

From 1st to 4th May 2025, Compiègne will become the epicentre of the dressage world, hosting a series of esteemed competitions:

CDIO5*: The only French leg of the FEI Nations Cup circuit, this unmissable event welcomes the finest dressage riders from across the globe, competing in the heart of the imperial forest. The Danish team—comprising Nanna Skodborg Merrald, Daniel Bachmann Andersen, and Carina Cassøe Krüth—claimed victory in 2023 and successfully defended their title in 2024, triumphing over a strong Swedish contingent and an in-form French trio.

CDI3* & CDI1*: These individual competitions provide 5* riders with the opportunity to test other horses while also allowing emerging couples to step onto the international stage.

CDIU25: A pivotal competition for riders under the age of 25.

CDIYR, CDIJ & CDIP: Dedicated to young riders, juniors, and ponies, these events showcase the future stars of dressage, fostering the next generation of equestrian talent.

A strategic event ahead before major championships.

As a flagship event in the global dressage circuit, the CDIO5* of Compiègne serves as a stepping stone for competitors aiming to excel on the international stage. With just months to go before the 2025 European Championships in Crozet, France, this prestigious fixture will prove instrumental in shaping team strategies and fine-tuning horse-rider partnerships. Under the discerning eye of an esteemed judging panel, led by Raphaël Saleh—who presided over the dressage at Versailles and will adjudicate in Crozet this August—Compiègne further cements its reputation as a cornerstone of the equestrian calendar.

Year after year, the Stade Équestre du Grand Parc delivers a truly world-class spectacle, attracting the sport’s most illustrious names. Isabell Werth (GER), Charlotte Fry (GBR), Dinja Van Liere (NED), Patrik Kittel (SWE), Nanna Skodborg Merrald (DEN), Frederic Wandres (GER), Becky Moody (GBR), and France’s own Pauline Basquin have all made their mark on this prestigious arena.

An idyllic setting with unrivalled accessibility.

Nestled within the verdant expanse of the Grand Parc de Compiègne, this event benefits from world-class facilities, enhanced ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Further improvements this year include a subirrigation system for the paddock of the main arena, ensuring optimal conditions for the horses and elevating the competition experience.

Remaining true to its founding principles, the event remains entirely free of charge, with open access and complimentary parking, enabling all visitors to witness the very best of international dressage in a uniquely captivating atmosphere.

A magical equestrian performance close the show

Alongside the competitive action, on Sunday, 4th May at 3:00pm, spectators will be treated to an awe-inspiring equestrian display by Lorenzo. Dubbed the ‘child prodigy of the Camargue’, Lorenzo has dazzled audiences worldwide with his daring, grace, and extraordinary bond with his horses. Fusing strength, elegance, the “Flying frenchman” continues to push the boundaries of equestrian performance, delivering breathtaking displays of horsemanship. A must-see event for all equestrian enthusiasts.

A celebration of equestrian excellence

Since their inception, the Internationaux de Dressage de Compiègne, under the aegis of Madame Marini and the Compiègne Equestre association, have distinguished themselves by their impeccable organisation and unfailing commitment to promoting dressage at the highest level.
